& Maintenance
A skilled workforce and
substantial investment in tools and equipment allows JEC to
mobilize quickly and with enough resources to solve problems
and restore your operations to minimize downtime. Over the
years, JEC has developed a broad network of industry contacts
and professionals to form a knowledgebase that allows them to
find answers, locate obscure materials, and solve problems
with speed and accuracy. JEC provides clients with timely,
dependable service in all types of industries.
Our Specialty Services
1. ARC FLASH Studies - JEC can perform a complete Arc
Flash analysis at your facility to help you comply with OSHA
enforcement of NFPA 70E and IEEE 1584 standards.
2. Short Circuit Studies - JEC can perform a Short
Circuit study at your facility in conjunction with an Arc
Flash analysis, or as a stand-alone service, to confirm that
your switchgear offers sufficient protection in case of a
fault.
3. Thermal Imaging / Infrared Scanning - Using the
latest technology, and factory training, JEC technicians can
perform Thermal Imaging analysis of crucial pieces of
equipment, including motors, electrical gear, even the
building envelope to help identify and correct potential
shut-down hazards in your facility.
4. Power Quality Metering - Power Quality issues are
the most often overlooked, and hardest to correct, problems
that can arise in any modern facility. Problems may come and
go like ghosts, causing unexplainable machine failures,
computer crashes, and other nagging issues. The team at JEC is
well trained and well equipped to troubleshoot and help you
solve power quality issues.
5. Vibration Analysis - Although not as flashy as
Thermal Imaging, or some of our other capabilities, Vibration
Analysis has a very specific, very important role in a
complete Predictive Maintenance Program. Using cutting edge
technology, JEC can monitor, and repair or correct damage
causing sources of vibration within motors and equipment.
Vibration Analysis should also be used during the setup and
commissioning of any new piece of equipment.
6. Ground Resistance Testing - Similar to Power Quality
issues, grounding issues can cause a plethora of strange
symptoms within an electrical system. Also, more and more
projects and facilities are requiring certification reports of
ground resistance. JEC has the ability to accurately and
efficiently test ground resistance, and make recommendations
on how make your grounding system meet the requirements of
equipment manufactures and engineer’s specifications.
7. Circuit Tracing/ AutoCAD Layouts - Having an
accurate set of electrical drawings on site not only promotes
efficiency, safety, and accuracy of electrical work; it is a
requirement of NFPA 70E, and enforced by OSHA. JEC has the
tools and resources to trace and label your electrical
distribution system from switchgear down to each receptacle,
leaving a neatly labeled and functional electrical system. We
also can mark up electrical drawings and import them into an
AutoCAD layout that can be constantly edited to reflect the
current state of the system as changes are made.
